The readme.html file included in the HESK download archive is your Bible. After downloading the HESK archive unzip it's contents to your computer and read the readme.html file for installation instructions.

STEP 2

You have read the readme file at least twice and still no luck? The next step is to try the HESK troubleshooter!

Nothing helps? As a last resort, try searching for a solution at the PHPjunkyard SUPPORT FORUM (please do try searching and reading old posts as many questions have already been answered here. If you can't find a solution, try posting your question as a new topic.)

Above all, please remember that HESK is a FREE script and thus, no support is guaranteed. The author and many other users will help you on a voluntary basis, so do your homework first (read everything that is written above... again) and be patient when waiting for a reply on the support forum.

We also sell inexpensive licenses for those who don't want to run the phrase and link "Powered by Help Desk Software HESK" at the bottom of the page. If you translated HESK to your language please share the files with others.

You may be using an outdated license version not compatible with latest HESK version. Download a new license file from the License manager (login using your license key).

Please do not send e-mails asking if a feature is supported. If you cannot find a feature using the above steps the feature probably isn't supported (but might be added in the future so check back for newer versions).

Although possible, it is not likely you have found a real bug unless you are testing a just released or beta version. Keep in mind that the script works fine for hundreds (thousands) of other people, meaning the problem is most likely on your end.

Yes, you may modify HESK to fit your needs (add features or change the look to fit your web site design), as long as:

1. the "powered by" links remain intact (to remove those purchase a License)

2. you don't redistribute the script (in part or in full)

Unfortunately, I am unable to provide custom programming work at the moment as I have too much work with other projects. I recommend posting your project at Rent A Coder, where you will be able to find many competent programmers at low prices. I have used it before (both as a programmer and customer) with good results.
